Jeremy S. Thompson is a storyteller at heart, having helped brands, celebrities, and organizations tell their story to the world. As a senior vice president with Edelman’s global public affairs practice, he specializes in innovative, digital-first content creation, message positioning, and public affairs strategies.
Prior to joining Edelman Global Advisory (EGA), Mr. Thompson served as social media director for Kamala Harris’ 2020 presidential campaign—driving some of the highest engagement levels in the Democratic field.
Previously, Mr. Thompson worked at Under Armour, where he led global creative development, managed the brand’s 2018 Olympics social media strategy, and developed social media content for its global flagship social channels. He has also worked closely with the US Soccer Foundation, the UN Women’s Generation Equality Forum, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to create digital content and messaging for global projects and initiatives. He also worked with Jon Stewart to ensure 9/11 first responders who qualified for the Zadroga Act received the help they deserved.
Mr. Thompson received his bachelor’s degree in history and political science from the University of Mary Washington and his master’s degree in strategic communication from American University. He currently serves as the vice chair of the VIDA Fitness Diversity and Inclusion Board.
